UGH!! ok. I survived 2 miles....

YEAH FOR ME!! WOO HOO!! I AM THE WOMAN!!

Well...I did it, I walked 2 miles and I am here to tell about it. And none to worse for the wear I might add. I know, I should be much farther along in my training by this time. You are correct in that. But let's keep in mind that I am the ultimate Procrastinator (did you notice the capital "P"?). While my Co-Captian & Teammate are trying their darndest to get me motivated, not to mention a myriad of friends, my boyfriend, my brother, and family, my bed (oh, swweeet, sweeettt bed) calls to me MUCH, MUCH louder then my even my boss with a bull horn standing behind me wanting the report that is already on his desk.

But you know what....I am proud of myself. I did it myself. No one told me too. No one begged, pushed me out the door, rewarded, reminded, nudged, or said to me..."you know...you really should....". I stopped when I felt myself getting a little dehydrated, not too mention the thunder and lightning were kind of turning me into a little wussy girl....hey...it was dark, DARK PEOPLE!! night time and late, I am entitled. The lights may have been on, but you know how things can take on a shape all their own in the dark at night. Think of every horror movie (my favorite by the way) you have ever seen, now bring in the eerie quiet before the thunder, then all at once the sky lights up with multiple flashes of lightning at the same time, an enormous rumbling roar of thunder starts at your toes climbs up your boby and crashes right over your head so hard that you can feel it in your chest. See what I mean? so I was hearing my bed calling me LOUD & Clear right at that specific moment in time!! and I was going to get to it as fast as my new walking sneakers and happily beating, proud little heart would take me there!!

2 miles down lots more to go....but thats ok.

It's the first step thats hardest of any long Journey. I am on my way. You can't stop me now....well, there is one problem with walking in Verona Park though. The restrooms close at 7pm (they open at 11am). Anyone see how this could be a slight problem? LOL....I may be running some of the time.
